Vocalist Lamar Williams Jr and horn players Mike Olmos & Jason Mingledorff bring their magic to this joyfully bouncy NMS groove. Out now on Eddie's Color Red imprint, on digital only until the LP and CD release of the album "Shake It" on September 13th 2019.
Tonight in Denver, Colorado we will be launching an exhibition of photographs of the band by celebrated music photographers Michael Weintrob, Dave Vann, Josh Timmermans, Jim Mimna and Jason Melino. After tonight’s special event at Meadowlark Kitchen the exhibit will move to Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom where we play this Friday and Saturday night. All the framed photos signed by the band will be available to bid on via an online silent auction which opens today at 5pm MST (7pm EST, midnight UK) and closes at midnight Saturday (2am EST, 7am Sunday UK). All profits will go to Eddie’s Payback charity (501c3) raising money for youth experiencing homelessness.

We’ve now been together as a band for 20 years so we’re celebrating our anniversary throughout 2019. We kick off the festivities with the release of a 7″ single on May 3rd via Color Red to coincide with a two-night stand at the House of Blues New Orleans during Jazz Fest.
Vocalist Lamar Williams Jr., who has joined us for our 2019 run, is featured on the A-side “Shake It.” The flip side features a percussive collaboration with Thievery Corporation drummer Jeff Franca on “Permission To Land.” News of further 20th birthday plans is coming soon…
Very pleased to announce that we’ll be back in New Orleans in May for our 13th consecutive Jazzfest shows, on the SECOND WEEKEND, as is the custom. This year we’ll be back at the House of Blues on Decatur Street. Friday’s show is the more civilised time (doors at 8pm), while Saturday will be the traditional crazy late-night affair at which we start playing around 1am (once everyone has made it through the doors) and play until the small hours. Feel free to come to both shows!

Teaser trailer for our live-in-studio follow up to 2016’s Nashville Session album - this one was recorded in June 2018 at the same studio - Welcome To 1979 - and features existing NMS originals whose arrangements have evolved on stage since they were originally recorded. Plus a banging cover of John Cameron’s KPM classic Afro Metropolis. The LP comes with a free download card which includes two additional tracks - Flimsy and Six Underground - that are on the CD version but didn’t fit onto the vinyl.
